About the Coral Reef
Public Service Announcement Poster Project

This Public Service Announcement Poster Project was designed to create a public affinity for the long-term conservation of coral reefs and to educate reef tourists and user groups. The Poster Project incorporates billboards and bus-stop posters, as well as "duratrans" and "spectaculars" (images displayed in international airports), in Washington, DC, Baltimore, Miami, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

These posters were created through a grant to the Interrelated Arts Foundation and Urban Arts Institute from the Coral Reef Conservation Fund of NOAA and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF). Interrelated Arts Foundation is a nonprofit agency committed to visual public communications. For more information on the Poster Project, contact coralreef@noaa.gov with "Poster Project" in the subject line.

Please note: At this time, we have depleted our stock of these posters; however, a second printing is being considered. Please check back regularly for updates.

The NOAA-NFWF Coral Reef Conservation Fund emphasizes solutions to localized threats to coral reefs and associated habitats. Grant categories include: restoring damaged reefs; increasing community awareness; and reducing impacts from pollution, sedimentation, overfishing, tourism and boating. The NFWF is a private, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization established by Congress in 1984 and dedicated to the conservation of fish, wildlife, and plants, and the habitat on which they depend.
