Our goals for healthy coral ecosystems can only be realized with support from informed, inspired and engaged individuals in communities throughout reef regions and across the globe. CRCP provides a variety of news and outreach resources in order to promote widely the knowledge that healthy coral reefs are among the most biologically diverse and economically valuable ecosystems on earth, yet they are threatened by an increasing array of impacts – primarily from global climate change, unsustainable fishing, and pollution.
We serve the coral-related news needs of the ocean-interest community with breaking news from the world of coral research and conservation. We also provide tools to scientists and managers, who act as spokespersons, in order to ensure the public gets the straight message about developments in the study and protection of corals.
